Deep Tissue Massage is a massage designed to relieve sore muscles, especially those that are used regularly or in a repetitive fashion. In addition, it focuses on the muscles that are not superficial, but rather under-layer muscles. It is not uncommon to feel fatigued or slightly sore muscles (similar to a strenuous workout) the day after a deep tissue massage. If you have hesitation regarding the therapeutic massage you need, do not hesitate to call. Trigger Point Massage focuses on a "knot" in your muscle. Knots cause your muscles to shorten and may lead to pain. Trigger Point Massage targets these knots with ischemic compression to break the pain-spasm-pain cycle. This allows your pain to subside and the muscle to relax.
