So....what is a LMT?
A Licensed Massage Therapist is someone who has completed the educational requirements and testing from the State of Texas and has been licensed to provide massages within the state.
Velvet Lay, LMT has gone beyond the basic definition of an LMT. She utilizes a combination of techniques tailored to each client's needs. In addition she has completed further studies and hundreds of hours of massages to provide a master level of massage therapy. She utilizes a variety of techniques tailored to meet the client's unique needs. After assessing your massage needs, Velvet will use the proper modality for you.
Velvet, her husband, and three children are Texas natives, love college basketball, gardening, running marathons, and volunteering. They live in a smoke-free, dog/cat-free environment.

FAQs
What will my first session be like?
After introductions, we will complete the client intake process. Generally, this requires 15 minutes and you are not charged for this time. We want to know if you have any medical conditions to consider and for you to be comfortable with the entire massage process.  Please note that the appointment time purchased is the entire time that you will be touched by your therapist, not simply the time required to prep.
What should I wear?
You can wear whatever is comfortable. Â We are trained to preserve your modesty throughout your massage. Â You may be completely undressed under the massage covers.
May I choose my music?
Of course! Â We strive to have a variety of musical styles or can even turn the music completely off!
Do you massage pregnant clients?
Of course! Pregnancy massage is a specialty of Oil and Grace Massage. We use a side-laying postion configuration for pregnant clients during any trimester.
